Combine two modern bead shapes together in a classic, elegant necklace! This piece features both the rice-shaped Rizo beads and the two-hole SuperDuo beads, woven together with Japanese seed beads into tactile triangular components that can also be adapted into many other kinds of jewelry.
Students will learn how to weave two or three self-supporting triangular components and a matching beaded rope using an unusual variation of the netting stitch, and will learn how to connect these components together for this gorgeous necklace. Additional variations on this design will also be discussed, including how to create a matching pair of earrings, and how to create different kinds of bracelets from the components or the beaded rope!
Prerequisites: Students should be comfortable working with the netting beading stitch, and with size 15° seed beads.
