Succulent Topiary Pendant
Succulent Topiary Pendant
Stitch a beaded topiary with shaped beads! The Succulent Topiary Pendant features a diverse collection of Japanese and Czech shaped beads that join together to create a floral pendant. This clever design follows the geometry of an icosidodecahedron; a close relative of dodecahedron with room for 12 flowers surrounded by 20 bits of beaded greenery. The pattern explains how to weave the flowers in an even color distribution so that no two flowers of the same color sit next to each other. Measuring over 1.75 in (45mm) in diameter, this hefty pendant makes quite the statement!
This pattern is appropriate for beaders who are already proficient in right-angle weave (RAW) and who would like the challenge of trying a 3D variation of this stitch. Beaders who have stitched the Tila Garden Pendant or the Fiberoptic Dodecahedron are in great shape to try this design.
