Kepler's Harmonies Spheres
Workshop Information
Weave sparkly square crystals into geometric spheres! The Kepler's Harmonies spheres feature square-shaped etched lotus crystals enclosed in bugle beads and seed beads, all in the geometric structure of a rhombicosidodecahedron. This two-piece set features two different sizes of these colorful crystals, and they measure approximately 2 3/4 inches and 2 inches in diameter, respectively. These spheres are an ode to the mathematician Johannes Kepler, who was fascinated by music, geometry, astrology, and the motion of the planets. He explored all of these concepts in his Harmonices Mundi, or "Harmony of the World," written in 1619, where he also gave the rhombicosidodecahedron its name.
