Celebrate the holiday season with a festive necklace of beaded poinsettias! The Poinsettia Bouquet Necklace features three different sizes of poinsettia components woven from Dragon Scale beads, bugle beads, and Japanese seed beads. You'll weave this delicate necklace using the circular peyote stitch and a variation on the cubic right angle weave (CRAW) technique called Prismatic Right-Angle Weave (PRAW). Finish the necklace with a glass briolette pendant and a clever custom beaded toggle clasp. Stitch this necklace in red and green for a classic holiday design, or switch up the colors for a timeless necklace that you can wear all year!

This pattern is appropriate for beaders who would like to try structural beading with Dragon Scale and bugle beads. Beaders who have stitched the Poinsettia Bracelet are in great shape to stitch this design!

Materials

To stitch this necklace, you'll need:

  • Czech Dragon Scale beads
  • Miyuki Half Tila beads
  • 3mm Japanese bugle beads
  • 8° Toho Demi round seed beads, or 3mm Miyuki spacer seed beads
  • 15° and 11° Japanese seed beads
  • A 14mm Czech cushion bead
  • A 25x6mm glass briolette drop
  • Beading thread (6lb Fireline)

Dimensions: 1.5 inches (3.3 cm) long at center
