After Dark Necklace
After Dark Necklace
Weave a galaxy of stars on beaded beads! The After Dark Necklace features sparkly beaded stars woven with little triangle-shaped Tri beads and Japanese seed beads. These stars decorate two types of geometric structures in the finished necklace; a stunning pendant that follows the geometry of an icosidodecahedron (a close relative of dodecahedron), and a collection of beaded beads that follow an unusual but symmetrical geometric shape. Custom bead caps stitched from additional seed beads surround each beaded bead, and dazzling “Galaxy” round beads complete this twinkling necklace.
This pattern is appropriate for beaders who are already proficient in right-angle weave (RAW) and who would like the challenge of trying a 3D variation of this stitch. Beaders who have stitched the Astral Spore Pendant or the Succulent Topiary Pendant are in great shape to try this design.
