The core structure in both beaded beads is identical, and this core structure is decorated with seed beads in one of two different symmetries to create the cube or the octahedron. Both beaded beads are hollow and completely self-supporting. Use two beaded beads for a pair of earrings, or string a handful of them together for a geometric necklace.
